Red Water Based Liquid Dye

These easy to use liquids are dilutions of powdered pigments and are water soluble. Dyes have a smaller particle size than pigments and colour product by solubilising; this makes them best suited to liquid products. The different colours we stock can be blended together to create a whole rainbow of colours.

Liquid dyes maintain transparency in liquid and melt & pour soaps but may bleed a little in complex designs. Use sparingly and add to water phase. Do not add to dry powder.
Best suited for use in Melt & Pour Soaps, liquid soaps & bases, creams & lotions (add to water phase). Specifically selected for its suitability in bath bombs and cold process soaps.

This yellow spectrum, mid red colour is also known as Allura Red, Food Red 17 or FD&C Red 40. Contrary to popular belief, it is not extracted from any insect.

10ml & 30ml supplied in HDPE, squeezable bottle with dropper and childproof lid. 100ml supplied in PET bottle with tilt lid.
