General Description: Glycerine (also called glycerol) is a clear and odourless liquid with a thick, syrupy consistency. Our BP grade vegetable glycerine, is derived from sustainable rapeseed, free from GMO & palm oil and is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Be aware when deciding the quantity needed that we sell by volume and glycerine typically weighs 127g per 100ml.

Shelf Life: 2 Years

Uses:

• Soaps (solid and liquid) – quicker to lather, soft feel, moisturising. Soap bar will not last as long with glycerine added.
• Moisturiser – add to creams, lotions and toners to help the epidermis retains moisture and give a smoothing, softening, emollient effect
• Humectant – glycerine attracts water to itself. In low concentrations this has a moisturising effect on the skin. If used in high concentrations or arid climates, it may attract water out of the skin itself causing a drying effect.
• Replenish and restore skin – maintains a healthy look and feel, defends against dryness
• Natural solvent – use to create glycerine extracts from plant matter

Inclusion level: Typically 2-5%

Recommended for masques, liquid & solid soaps, scrubs. Water and alcohol soluble. Also used for making e-cigarette liquid
